Gerard Doherty is a Director of the Financial Services Council ("FSC") and is a member of the FSC's Standards, Oversight & Disciplinary Board Committee.

Gerard joined Fidelity Worldwide Investment in January 2008 as Managing Director for Australia & New Zealand. Gerard is also a member of the Fidelity Asia Pacific Operating Committee and a Member of the FIL Asia Holdings PTE Limited Risk & Oversight Committee  as well as being a director of other FIL associated boards.  He is a Director of Horizon MP Limited.    

Previously, Gerard  spent 14 years at Perpetual Ltd  in a number of senior roles including Group Executive, Perpetual Investments and Private Clients. In this period Perpetual Funds Under Management in grew from $1.6 billion to $40 billion and Private Client funds under advice grew to over $9 billion.

Prior to joining Perpetual in 1993, Gerard worked for Prudential Corporation in both Adelaide and Sydney.

Gerard is married, has three teenage sons and lives in Sydney, Australia.  On top of a busy family life, Gerard enjoys travel, reading, walking and is a passionate member of the Sydney Swans AFL club.
